What is Home Headquarters (HHQ)?
HHQ is based in Regents Park Barracks, in London, and it is here that the communication and activities of the Regimental Association are co-ordinated, they act like an Adjutant’s office.
They do everything from organising attendance at national and regimental events, helping veterans who are having a tough time find support for physical or mental health issues and administering requests for benevolence, through to buying new sports kit for serving soldiers and keeping in touch through social media, the Regimental website, Journals and newsletters.
The Regimental Association
The Regimental Association oversees all veteran activities and groups and, through the Colonel of the Regiment, works closely with the Commanding Officer of the Serving Regiment, the Trustees and the Regimental Museum.
Its purpose is to maintain and protect the histories and traditions of all the antecedent regiments and foster esprit de corps (pride and mutual loyalty); to help maintain contact between members and their dependents, including socially, through the Regimental Family; and to consider requests for funding and benevolence.
