It is with great sadness that the Regimental Association announces the recent death of the following member(s):

Cpl Eric Thomas on the 5th of November 2021.

Eric served with 8H 1944 – 1947.

Funeral details will be published when known.

The Association was informed by his daughter Mrs Brenda Blaydon.

Our sincere condolences go to Eric’s family and friends on their loss.

Cpl Brian Burnside on the 8th of November 2021.

Brian served with QRIH from 1970 – 1982.

A funeral service will be held at Wigan Crematorium, Cemetery Road, Lower Ince, Wigan WN3 4NN on Wednesday 24th November at 1100 hrs.

Our sincere condolences go to Brian’s family and friends on their loss.

Capt Duncan Vaughan-Arbuckle on the 11th of November 2021.

Duncan served with 8H/QRIH in Germany and Malaysia from 1956 – 1966.

There is likely to be a memorial service in January 2022 for which further details will be made known.

The Association was informed by Robin Rhoderick-Jones.

LCpl Brian Cassidy on the 11th of November 2021.

Brian served with 7H/QOH from 1955 – 1969.

A funeral service will be held at Carleton Cemetery & Crematorium, Stocks Lane, Blackpool, FY6 7QS on Saturday 27th November at 1300 hrs.

The Association was informed by his son, Steve Cassidy.

Sgt Henry John Hayes on the 17th of November 2021.

Henry served with 4H/QRIH from 1946 – 1965.

Henry was a D-Day veteran.

A funeral service will be held at Weeley Crematorium, Nr Clacton, Essex on Monday 13th December at 1445hrs. Family flowers only. Dress code: No black.

The Association was informed by his son, John.
